Flying Lessons?

The damn network is under maintenance so I am jobless. Sometimes (or is it always)I wish that I could fly.I want to roam with clouds, have shitting competitions with seagulls, apart form its immense utility in Bombay traffic trying it might be worth it just for sheer pleasure. Is it replicable by parasailing(done that, not good enough) or handgliding (have to try this one)? Which one would be easier learning to fly or to have my conciousness planted into a bird?

I wonder if the reason men cant fly is because we have never tried, I dont mean running fast enough and trying to take off, I'm talking radical stuff like junping off a cliff and hoping for the best. I dont think anyone wants to try this. Suicides apart, those guys were not thinking of flying they had other pressing matters to consider (!) or maybe someone did and was flasely sent to hell by Dante??? What would it take to pull off this Johnathan Seagullesque stunt? I remember jumping off a swing when I was 12 or 13 for an instant it felt great till gravity took over (I dont think i was aware of such a concept back then...Issac you bastard) and reality struck me on the face.

Next attempt? When I turn 60. Till then, frankly, I dont have the balls.

Into the distance, a ribbon of black
Stretched to the point of no turning back
A flight of fancy on a windswept field
Standing alone my senses reeled
A fatal attraction holding me fast, how
Can I escape this irresistible grasp?

Cant keep my eyes from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, i

Ice is forming on the tips of my wings
Unheeded warnings, I thought I thought of everything
No navigator to guide my way home
Unladened, empty and turned to stone

A soul in tension thats learning to fly
Condition grounded but determined to try
Cant keep my eyes from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, i

Above the planet on a wing and a prayer,
My grubby halo, a vapour trail in the empty air,
Across the clouds I see my shadow fly
Out of the corner of my watering eye
A dream unthreatened by the morning light
Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night

Theres no sensation to compare with this
Suspended animation, a state of bliss
Cant keep my eyes from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, i

  2. I think the difference is a five letter word, 'think'
We think too much. Perhaps if you jump off the cliff without a shred of thought swirling in your brain, you might soar.
Then again, if you do 'think' and 'think' evolution, you might not need any wings.

    You fucking plagiarist.
